Description AGUA

This is just an idea I've been playing around with for a while - I wanted to

put it out so other people could have a chance to check it out. The basic idea

behind this theme is Fitts's law - "The time it takes to reach a target is a

function of the size of the target and the distance to the target." Since shells,

at the most basic level, are designed to make it easier to get at information

on your computer, a good shell should make that as easy as possible to do.

Targets (files, applications, folders, etc.) which are used most often should

be accessible fastest. Accordingly, the buttons used to access them should be

larger. But everyone uses their computer in a different way, so a really good

shell should adapt itself to the way the user works. That is what I have

attempted to achieve here.

Please let me know about any thoughts you have while using this theme - I'm excited

to keep developing this.

Looks like an awsome theme; its a shame I dont use litestep.
I love the slight transparency of the menu and the simplicity of everything.
Wher'd you get the awsome background?

Thanks for catching the unclosed if-block and the installer issue. I'll fix that in the next release.

The choice to leave settings in dockvars.rc was mostly a style issue. In my mind those values are meant to be edited through the theme instead of hacked manually since changing some of them will throw off the size of the bar. I thought keeping the actions & icons in dockvars.rc would keep themevars (when it is added) cleaner. I know it's not strictly OTS2, but the line between personal settings and theme settings is a little blurry for something like this.

At any rate, thanks for the feedback.

Ya, the LSTI isn't compatible with this because of the space infront of the otsMajor/MinorVersion lines.

I installed it manually, and then was greeted with "commandHeight" var error saying it's not defined. Next, an lsxcommand error "Invalid arguments to !CommandSize 1556." A couple other things didn't load properly either. This happens because you forgot to close your "if win9x" conditional at line 113 in your bar.rc.

Also, you left personal settings in the dockvars.

Shows good promise.

Well I just tried installing your theme. This was the result - not being savvy enough myself I haven't tried to fix it yet.

Part of the install log:

in personal.rc, OTSCfgMajorVersion = 2
in personal.rc, OTSCfgMinorVersion = 0
--> OTSCfgVersion = 2.0

ERROR: complete OTS version info. not found in theme.rc, exiting

theme was not installed

What installer are you using? Nobody on ls.net has experienced this problem, and the info it's looking for is in the right place.

I'm using 'LSThemeInstaller.exe'.

I tried installing again just in case and the LSThemeInstaller came back with the same response.

Perhaps there's a better installer than this, I've had this installer for years so it wouldn't surprise me to learn that there is a better and more recent one available.

Thanks for your response, btw.
