This reminds me on the many levels of the defibrillator scene from the original "The Thing" movie: human looking monster/mutant, open chest/torso with teeths, crawls on the ceiling and probably engulfes its victims in a similar way like the Thing did in the movie.

Thanks! The slipper demon is parasitic.  It uses it's mouth to both eat and latch onto it's host. Here is an example jrcoffroniii.deviantart.com/ar⦠It crawls around in the darkness using subterfuge. It can also speak, allowing it a way to lure unknowing humans into dire circumstances.
Googled the movie, I can see the resemblance in the chest cavity for sure
