The Mosasaurus was the most dangerous and lethal marine reptile that inhabited our seas in the Upper Cretaceous period, its enormous jaw was adapted to crush primitive crustaceans but it did not miss the opportunity if there was meat available being considered the T-Rex of the ocean.
Its four fins were used to maneuver in any direction, these being hydrodynamic along with its tail in the form of an additional paddle. Its body was shaped like a barrel that reached 15 meters long (it is speculated that they could be larger). Considering their characteristics, it is believed that the "Mosasaurus" could inhabit deep waters but due to their reptilian heritage they had to stay near the coasts or islands in order to breathe. Another theory mentions that they could dislocate their jaws to swallow their prey whole like some current snakes, but that possibility is still debated.
