Description "—Dad? We're pals, right?
—Right."

I watched The Lion King 2019 today and I LOVED IT! God, it looked so beautiful. Every animal, every plant, every insect even... everything was beautiful. I get the movie got critics because the movie wasn't as colourful as the original animated movie from 1994, and I agree with this. But Disney clearly wanted this movie to be realistic, and they made an amazing job with it (except for the fact that lions have no balls)
They kept the same soundtrack from the original movies, just changed the lyrics in some and with new singers.

Also the movie added more details to the story, and that is something I appreciate a lot. I already saw many fanarts referencing this (if you've seen the movie)

So yeah, I loved it. I personally loved the "Under the stars" scene with Mufasa and Simba. I give this movie a 9/10.

At least someone outside of two or three people I'm subscribed on this site to say something nice about it. 'Cause I'm already getting fed up and embittered by people's negative reactions. I'm just like "Are you even really that surprised that it'll be more limited compared to the original? And the animals having neutral faces? Animals in real in life don't convey emotions through facial expressions. Sure the original was more fit for traditional animation, but with everybody praising it like it's on its high horse. Though many people that talk that animation can do anything is true, it's going to be imperfect since there would be errors they might've missed. If we want animation taken more seriously, why not have filmmaking or animation at regular schools? (By that I mean not just college, but elementary, middle, and high school) So to show that animation isn't that easy as it looks and to not take it for granted. Or even the repetitive argument of 'Why remake it?' Well yes, they could re-release the original, but they've done it 3 times already. But today it's pointless because you can give the same argument with here. Plus they have to do something to make the old films relevant again."

Totally agree with you. I'm convinced people are being so petty about the film's lesser points. Just enjoy it for what it does bring

Besides the only harm, a film can do is if the people behind the scenes were treated like garbage, and they got away with abuse. Just like a certain YouTube channel who's one of the first web-reviewers who still hasn't taken responsibility on the grievances made by former producers.

I agree with you. I can understand some negative reviews but others are just annoying. If Disney wanted to make the movie more colourful they could've done it, but they decided to make it realistic and that's fine. They can do whatever they want with their movies, and making it super realistic worked very well imo.

We should see the bright side of the movie... Some people always go for the negative. Thank you for commenting
