not really , i mean i am rather smart and i have read a lot of books (and subtitles) but my cooking skills are rather bad so bad that i can't even make a pancake

I still think the chances of her being at least a competent cook are high. I'm not sure if you are a common case.

it's all in the practice, you can't really cook well if you just read books without doing it yourself , experiencing the kitchen, cooking the food and maybe burning it little in the process (also getting burned by the oil in the process) it's the only way to be a decent cook.
Besides she is more like someone who would eat fast food so she could have more time to study

Also i am a competent cook, nowadays before not so much couldn't cook half of the stuff that i can now.... except the pancake i never really tried to make a pancake mostly laziness (also i don't like pancakes)

Well, back when I tried cooking for the first time, I followed the instructions my mom gave me and everything went alright (I think the first food I tried to make were scrambled eggs). And since Twilight is smarter than me...
