Description I did this image of Marval's Jean Grey, "Phoenix", using a photo by William Coupon. I did this in painter using the airbrush tool.

I think its amazing, everytime I see a deviation done only in Corel as good as this feel jealous as well as awe-inspired

Thanks For this image I used a very low opacity brush (12%). I would suggest first to start with a bass color that will help unify the image (I used reddish brown) and then lightly do shading and lighting. Depending on what mood you want to set you can either use light shadows or dramatic ones like in this. It also helps to use reverence images. For a dramatic effect you can also use a secondary light in some shadows, such as blue or yellow.
