Homeworld: Tatsumaki IV

Personality: Maelstrom is the complete opposite of Stormwatch in every way. He's focused, serious and a massive partypooper, using all the power over bad weather at his disposal to ruin everyone's fun in one way or another. They say lightning never strikes in the same place twice, but that never applies when this guy's around.

--While he doesn't need it to survive outside of his homeworld, unlike Stormwatch, Maelstrom's powers when outside of his suit are extremely unstable and dangerous, and the suit helps keep them under control.

Weaknesses:
-While abilities are stronger outside of his suit, they are also more unpredictable and can be very damaging to anything nearby, including allies and structures.
-While his suit is very durable, it isn't indestructible and can wear down over the duration of a heated fight, making him more vulnerable.
-Can't survive on Anur Vladias.

Trivia:
-The Thundronians and Tengumanders are sister species that share the same homeworld. The former lives in the chaotic whirlwind of hurricanes and tropical storms that is the planet's northern hemisphere, while the latter live in the calmer and much more relaxing southern hemisphere.
-The two species that live upon Tatsumaki IV have been sworn enemies and have been constantly at war with each other for eons. None know why they fight, but most just chalk it up to being pure instinct at this point.
-Speaking of Tatsumaki IV, the planet itself is a massive Gas Giant about twice the size of Jupiter, but also twice as dense and with just as much gravity, to boot. As such, the Thundronians and Tengumanders evolved their abilities of weather manipulation and flight in order to compensate and not plummet to their dooms in the planet's smooth and cold iron core.
