Also known as the: Sixth of the Eleven Fatui Harbingers (former?), Kunikuzushi, and Kabukimono, the Wanderer (imo) made the adventures in Sumeru more interesting - along with Nahida's large lore drop.

Before 'deleting' his memories in the Irminsul, Scaramouche is an effing menace - like that chuunibyou that is ultra cringe to the point it became quite comedic (but if this type of person exists irl, they clearly need some help y'know). And even after 'removing' himself from the world and starting anew, he still felt empty - not really knowing what he wants and his purpose in life.

And yes, even after all of this ordeal of him being 'freed' of his past connections, he chose to regain all his memories back - when given the chance by the Dendro Archon (plus us, the Traveler). His blank new life made him emptier, and he'd prefer to carry the burden of his past aggressions so that he'll be much more of 'himself.'

I may agree that some parts of his characterization are a bit cringe-y, but by knowing his lore and all (plus his character is a fictional one and is exaggerated in such ways), you'll end up thinking "He is messed up, but it kinda makes sense as to why..."

This post may be a bit longer than my recent posts, but maybe being in love with this game made me appreciate some characters that have a deep lore beneath them (an example of that is this edgelord).
