This is one of my favorte drawings you have displayed. The way you display the shear size of the creature is awesome. I've been developing a series where the zodiac signs are represented by creatures similar to the ones you have here representing the elements. Your texturing of the rock is very subtle but very effective, it worked well on your landscape picture of the lagoon as well. GG

If you wouldn't mind being gloriously cliched you could make it like, black rock with hot magma shining through the cracks. It would totally pwn with that color scheme.
