Well, I done it. After years of commissioning NaruTen artwork, I finally commissioned a NaruTen Wedding scene. I know of a few other NaruTen Wedding artwork, yet this is the first one I ever commissioned. I guess the reason I had not bothered before to do a NaruTen Wedding commission was that I had no idea of type of wedding it would be for the couple. Yet in recent months I had gave it some thought and came up with my idea of what Naruto and Tenten's wedding would be like.

So I commissioned MyangHime ( ) to do the job, and she was happy to take on the challenge. I gave her my ideas for Tenten's wedding dress, Naruto's groom attire, the scene, etc. We worked together, and in the end, MyangHime came up with this lovely outdoor wedding portrait of married Naruto and Tenten. It's a nice scene of the couple posing in front of a Japanese shrine with the Hokage Monument in the background.

Tenten's wedding dress is a combo of Chinese and Western styles. The top half is from a Chinese cheongsam ( Red-ankle-lenght-phoenix-cheongsam-qipao-chinese-w ), while the skirt is modified from another Chinese cheongsam to make it look Western style with a small train ( Floral-embroidered-red-lace-Chinese-brocade-qipao- ). The golden dragon was added to go along with the golden dragon on Naruto's suit, and MyangHime added the nice designs on dress's shoulders. Last, instead of red, which is tradition in Chinese weddings, Tenten's dress is white to match Western traditions. In other words, Naruto and Tenten's wedding is a Chinese version of the Western style wedding. (Note: From what I read online, just like the Japanese, more Chinese couples these days are choosing to have a Western style wedding. Don't ask me why. Cost less? Looks better to them? Who knows?)

Tenten's hairstyle is a slightly modified version of a twin-bun style created by cactuar ( tenten hair makeover ). MyangHime decided to make the buns be loose instead of stiffly pinned up, so this way it would give Tenten a softer look. I liked it. As for why I chosen this hairstyle, well, it is Tenten's wedding, thus she would likely want to have a different hairstyle for the most important day of her life. Yet she would also like a hairstyle that keeps her twin buns. So cactuar 's hairstyle would be ideal IMO for Tenten to wear on her wedding day. Besides, the hairstyle gives a nice place to pin the veil, given the buns are low on her head.

Naruto's groom attire is a Chinese style suit (img01.cp.aliimg.com/imgextra/i… ), and it's black to match Western traditions. The photo, I've used as a reference, shown the golden dragon embroiled on the right side of the suit and a symbol on the suit's left breast. I chosen to replace the left symbol with the Uzumaki crest, given obviously Tenten is marrying into Naruto's family. So it make sense IMO to show the crest of the family name the couple is part of, the Uzumaki's. (Note: In my fanfic "Unexpected Love", Naruto agreed to add his father's family name to his mother's when he married Tenten. In my fic, Naruto and Tenten became the Uzumaki-Namikaze Family. This wedding art can be view as what the wedding would be like in "Unexpected Love". )

Now I want to be on record here. A few months ago, I have opened a poll regarding what type of wedding dress Tenten would wear on her wedding ( Tenten's Wedding Dress (Poll) ). Yet honestly, I did not set up the poll to determine what type of wedding I should have Naruto and Tenten be in when I do the wedding commission. I conducted the poll to want to hear what everyone thought regarding the subject. I admit upon researching the various of dresses, it made me think what I think what type of dress Tenten would wear, thus in the end, I chosen the 'Half Chinese/Half Western' style.

As one can see, I have posted here the full version in my gallery. Days after she had completed the commission, I have yet to hear from MyangHime on whether she will post the commissioned art in her gallery. She had not done so with the previous two commissions she done for me, given she told me she would post commissions in compliations. Whether she is continuing this, I have no idea. Yet in the meantime, I'm posting the full version in my gallery.

BTW, I'll be posting a cropped close-up within a day or two. The close-up will show the details of Tenten's dress better, etc. Be on the look-out for this.

So there you have it! A lovely full-body wedding portrait of Naruto and Tenten, lovingly looking at each other as they stand in front of a Japanese shrine with the Hokage Momument in the background. I love how this commission came out, and I thank MyangHime greatly for doing a wonderful job on this commission. Thanks, MyangHime !
