Triceratops has been my favorite dinosaur since I was 10 years old. Next time, the poor creature needs to avoid those lilac berries, if and when it gets to feeling better. I feel so sorry for it.

It's explained in the book - the Triceratops eats the West Indian Lilac berries and gets sick because it can't digest them It eats small gizzard stones to help with digestion, but that just makes the poor thing even sicker

I don't think it was ever said in the movie what made the Triceratops sick. Dr. Satler thought it was a plant in the area, the JP guy said the animals don't eat them, and she didn't find any trace of the plant in the dung pile...
