I should have drawn these guys long ago... But I never did. Now I know why.. I've been drawing all day!
Finally it's done ... I don't like the background, I might redraw it some other time, but not right now. I'm so sick of it

First off, the coloring and shading are well done. However the major flaws of this piece are more of anatomy and reference. The 3/4 view is a hard pose to get on a long-bodied animal, so please don't feel bad. The biggest problem is actually the width of the chest of the horse versus the width in his hips (which can be seen by the setting of his hind legs. It is very unusual for a equine to be broad chested and NOT be a draft variety, which is usually noted by thicker legs (because bone mass is greater) and broader feet. If this is a standard riding variety, the chest should be brought in a bit. From my mind's eye, if you do this, you might want to also bring in the hind legs too, because it would then look too long-bodied, but it also depends upon how you do it. ^^ The hip depth looks almost standard for a riding variety as is. If you need help for references. #Equine-Resource is great for that.
On a side note, the ears are also too long for a horse. If this fella is a mule... Well that is another type of body variation entirely. Mules tend to be very slim chested and have broader brows and more donkey-esque noses.

I love how you draw the horses, they always look so pretty. And don't worry about the background, I think it looks great! It fit the horse and the girl very well! Also, practice makes perfect. It's good that that you don't give up and try your hardest! Keep up the good work

The coloring on the horse is amazing, and her design is also very very nice! I love her dots on her coat, they are so cute
And YOU CAN DRAW HUMANS SO GOOD.
