Description
Just before the sunrises in an unnamed desert the mysterious Sjamana appears. Her work here is subtle, nothing more than a sapling amongst the dry stones. But it will hold fast and thrive for its roots have been laid deep. One day it and its kin will retake the desert and make the land lush once again.

I just couldn't help but to make this a little mini-story. ^^ This is my piece for *Mythconduct of =Daktari92 's wonderful character, Sjamana. This piece changed quite a bit between concept and execution, but I think it came out better than my initial idea. I took some liberty with the character by giving her some power over life that she is using here to begin making a forest from the barren desert. As a result, her staff looks a bit different as it is her main tool here in her creating. It joins the earth by temporarily sprouting roots that grow underground, then form a new tree that grows back up a few feet away. The staff roots then retract leaving the new tree to grow happily where it was created. We also see insects have been attracted to the mysterious glow and are joining in the small celebration of life. Curious, a chameleon has followed Sjamana to see why she woke so early to leave her forest this morning. The staff returns to its normal state after its part has been played.

I think I was able to keep the overall design of Sjamana accurate, but I did give her a more otter-like face just because. ^^
