Coming all the way from Jamaica, it's Toots and the Maytals. Or simply the Maytals, as they're called nowadays (I'll explain why a little later). They're a rocksteady/ska group formed in 1962, originally as a vocal group. In 1969, however, they became more of a reggae group. In fact, one of their songs, "Do the Reggay", actually popularized the name "reggae", and the word because synonymous with the genre ever since. The Maytals originally broke up in 1981, and then reformed twice (first in 1990, and then again in 2016). Other songs by the Maytals include "Pressure Drop" (a song that helped boost not just their international popularity, but also the popularity of the reggae genre) and "54-46 (That's My Number)" (which was sampled/covered by other artists). When drawing Anthro animal versions of these guys, I used a variety of animal species, with many of them being native or endemic to Jamaica (or the Caribbean as a whole).

Paul Douglas - Stoplight parrotfish
Frederick "Toots" Hibbert - Jamaican swallowtail butterfly. Toots, along with the late Bob Marley, were pioneers of the reggae genre. The Rolling Stone magazine also considered him as one of the greatest singers of all time (and for good reason). However, Toots, died while in a coma on September 11, 2020, due to a certain nasty virus (whose name I don't want to mention). After his death, his family sent the band a letter insisting that they stop using the Maytals name since the family owns the name. That is why the band's name has been shortened.
Radcliffe "Dougie" Bryan - Red-billed streamertail. This species of hummingbird is also the national bird of Jamaica.
Jackie Jackson - Jamaican boa. He's wearing a sleeveless shirt with the band's logo on it.
Carl Harvey - Seminole bat
Marie "Twiggi" Gitten - Jamaican tody. Todies are birds that are native the Caribbean.
Charles Farquharson - Jamaican coney (the only non-bat mammal that's endemic to Jamaica).
Stephen Stewart - Jamaican slider turtle

The Maytals(C) Trojan Records and BMG
