Not only is your sister very pretty, but the sketch is as well. I wish I could sketch as realistically as you. I seem to be more inclined to creating cartoon characters lol. Awesome job as always, Roxy

Haha I think of it the other way around. I'm pretty good at shading and whatnot, but sometimes it takes up quite a lot of patience, lol
You should really post more realism
At least this only took you hours. My first realistic portrait took a week and it looked NOTHING like the model LOL. I know practice makes perfect, but patience makes practice and I had too little patience at that time lol

Thanks to today's technology, people can just take the photographs and edit the effects to make it look like a sketch or drawing. To actually offer realistic portraits done by hand and pencil will be a little more expensive when charging the customer because of its scarcity. If you offer it, it'll have a higher value. During Da Vinci's time, everyone was doing it, so it wasn't as special. But now that people have turned to technology and developed a dependence on it, to actually create a realism piece by hand would be quite valuable.

i'm very committed to my art and i would love to make a living out of it... architecture is nice too, but kinda boring... you have to have passion, you know... in my projects i try hard to make them more artistic - kinda to convince myself to like architecture... but i don't want to take over my parents buisness

My mother wanted me to become a doctor or a lawyer not too long ago, but I knew I wasn't going to be happy. Instead, I resorted to a career without any assurance of a good income. My mom strongly believes that if I do something I don't love, it's not worth doing at all. You're only in your first year of college, so give it a shot, you'll never know what the outcome may be. But of course, if you really can't stand it, you'll have to find a way to communicate your desires to your parents and tell them what you want to do the rest of your life, because as long as you truly love what you're doing, you can't go wrong. The success and the money will follow if the passion comes first
