She didn't look at him. "And how does that concern you, Seer?"

"I see things you can't, Imelda. And what I saw was far uglier than whatever that keep latching on your man every five seconds. You need to act. And soon."

He was right, though. One can only be as patient for too long. There needs to be a limit, and she's about to reach that limit.

"And what do you suggest I do, Arthur? Only he and you are about the only people who know my true nature. As much as I like to tear her limb from limb, if I act even the slightest against her, everyone will be in trouble."

She heard him growl lowly, but not directed towards her. "If we let her off just like that, latching onto your man like a bloody leech, who knows what she will be up to. You need me, Imelda. That as much as obvious for this matter."

Was he even serious? What can a simple scryer, at least to her, do to help her?

"How can you even help me when you're just a mortal who can foresee the future?"

He was firm, to say the least. "Trust me, Imelda, I know what I saw, and what I'll be seeing. Obsessions are potentially dangerous. If you value his sanity and yours, you'd act accordingly, at least enough to keep her in about a 10-mile radius from him."

"Whatever it takes?"

"Rest assured. It shall be my liberty to assure everyone's out of harm's way, or at least, of your incoming predatory nature."

Spotted: an unlikely alliance is forming in Welsus Academy. I'm foreseeing a different kind of catfight about to ensue anytime soon, but I also have a feeling that at any given point of time...it's going to take more than just a few broken nails to make everything look terribly bloody.
