Description This is my contest entry for #TheNaviAvatars .

So far, I have mostly seen arts of na'vi warriors and hunters. But what about the others? Artisans'? Musicians? Dancers?

Lil' info about her:
Her name is Ma'yae and she's one of the artisans. She has an older brother (who happened to be Zardra's na'vi character -> [link] ). She also has a mate-to-be/boyfriend - whose name is still unknown.

She loves taking care of the children when their parents are busy with other things (meaning the warriors and the hunters). And she makes different kind of accessories and clothings for the tribe members with other artisans. She also loves to sing.

She's an artisan at first, but a fighter the second. She may look calm and is friendly, but when it comes to protecting someone she cares about, she can be quite a fighter.

This is my first Avatar art and also my first art in this year! The idea came to me on the New Year's Eve, which I had to sketch down into the paper. And so was my na'vi-self born - an artisan. Along with a na'vi child, who isn't hers! Just a curious child, who wanted to see what she was doing...

I have been working on this for 4-5 days... =3= It have been quite a time from the last time, when I did something this big...

done with: pencils (sketching), OpenCanvas 4.03 plus & Adobe PhotoShop CS2 (colouring).

I'm glad to see a picture of a Na'vi artisan; for one thing, it shows a side of them that's not interesting for an epic action/sci-fi movie, and two, it gives me hope that Pandora is not somehow holding them at a neolithic level through the neural network.

Thank you! I'm glad you like this pic of a Na'vi artisan. It's a bit sad that they didn't show much of the other part of Na'vi people. Yes, the extended versions do show Na'vi being on a hunt, but they don't show much about the ones, who aren't warriors/hunters. At this point the power of imagination steps in!

I love that you showed such a different scene - more what the Na'Vi would have been about on a day-to-day basis. I love how you filled the background with the lush plant-life. Great attention to detail! I can see the amount of work you put into it...makes me wish I had more to spend on mine.

Thank you! It might be a while when I do another as detail like this... My drawing hand needs to rest. Ah, now I wanna colour the other works more simple way. XD

If Cameron keeps his words - that he would make two more sequels after "Avatar's" success - I hope he would show more about the na'vis' lifestyle. I so interested to know more about the na'vi - others than just warriors and hunters. ^^

This is just so beautiful! The colors are so vibrant and fantastic that it totally transports me to the planet Pandora again and I can partially experience all that I did while watching the movie.

Your avatar is the most dressed one I've seen but I really like how you went with a different facet of the tribe to be your avatar's specialty.

It's just so beautiful and I can gush about it until I have no more words so I'll just stop now.

Oh and the kid is adorable!

GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH it became awesome! So so awesome. I love the bright colouring and your na'vi is so beautiful, her brother is very proud of her

The background is great, it shows what a magnificent place their home is. And I love it how this portraits a different side of the na'vi life than every other picture I've seen here. Of course there has to be those who work in something other than just fighting, life isn't only war.

The little one is so cuute, I love it how observant he looks. That's how kids learn. ^__^

And your na'vi's clothes. RAURRR, I love that loincloth thingy that reveals just enough of her butt (yummy butt )and all the decorations on her, the hand thingies especially are so awesome.
