Boys over Flowers and Ma Boy! there really funny and cute /Ma Boy is really short though( 3 episodes)

basically this prequel thing is when the main character was in highschool and yea

Some of the the k-drama/j-drama's that i liked are
Reply 1994. It was really good. So far it's been the only k-drama that I've finished.
Buzzer beat. It's really cute and pretty short so it doesn't take forever to finish and the theme song is pretty catchy.
Hungry! It's really funny and the characters are adorable, and the theme song is really good too.
Gokusen. Is pretty good, though i like the anime better. It was still a good drama.
Hana kimi. Was really good too.
You're Beautiful. I didn't see all of it, but what I saw of it was really good.

I def recommend the k-drama Healer!!!
It was so good, I felt like the other dramas I considered good are only okay now LMAO
A lot of non k drama fans I got to watch it also enjoyed it thoroughly ^^
I am watching The Producers/Producers(The one with IU and Kim Soo Hyun) right now, and it's pretty good!
The first two ep are a bit lackluster, but after that it gets pretty good, although I'm not too happy about the romance
because I feel like the couple I want together won't end up together, but we'll see!
For Japanese I would recommend Nodame Cantabile!!!
