DAY 8
Oh boy... this one turned out all over the place!
I tried to stay close to the reference, but nature doesn't really care much about color schemes and image balancing so I guess this one would have turned out better if I had worked on the reference more loosely. On the other hand, it was good see that there is actually some progress regarding things I couldn't paint before - they still don't look awesome, but a lot better when first I tried!
This time, I sticked around a tad longer than my personal speed paint rule simply because I wanted to try and fix things when I noticed they were wrong, and have to say that for some areas of this exercise, it really helped and made them look less awful... and since 90 mins are still well inside speed painting territory, I don't feel all that bad about it. Aren't rules made to be broken now and then, anyway?
