After pulling Saitama over, Kuma asks him a few questions after venturing back to the police station. Through further investigation into his background, the two officers come to the conclusion that Saitama may be the culprit behind a string of assaults that have been occurring around their precinct. The fact that he is unemployed and living in a rural abandoned area with blood on his hands makes him suspicious. While admitting that an unpopular hero is no different than a part-timer, Saitama wonders why the police force is against the Hero Association before enjoying some pork cutlet offered by the inspector.

Kuma goes on to talk about an overeager cadet whom was ineligible for the Hero Association but had wholeheartedly thrown himself into policing the streets as a fallback. Not long after making it on the force, said deputy was left critically injured with most every bone in his body shattered. Before he passed out the new recruit gave warning to his superior of the culprit as a sign of care for the precinct and his commander.

As they were still conversing the real culprit behind the officer assault & battery enters the station, a Demon-level monster threat named Surprise-Attack Plum began attacking their establishment after shedding his delivery man disguise. He states that his hated attack on the police was out of revenge for arresting him when he was a simple salary worker. With the disaster at hand, the police found themselves hideously overmatched by the mysterious being; quickly realizing their tools of incarceration were less than inefficient in dealing with the assailant. The Chief was left without options and made a call of desperation to the same Hero Association he largely distrusted, knowing full well what it would mean to the dignity of local law enforcement.

Outside the police station where countless bystanders, the local news and a horde of heroes from the Hero Association HQ sent by the duplicitous operator; having leaked information to the media and sent out every available lower rank hero in order to further disgrace the police.
