Description
Sunlight creeps slowly to the stars above,
Feeling ever so lowly so
        Starved for love.

Shadow shrinks back, drawing from the dawning day,
Feeling so unwanted,
        Just crawls away.

Knowing nothing, always running from the blistering heat,
Going faster as the plaster scorches skittering feet.

The wind blows shrilly and he halts in his tracks,
Slowly seeing that he has,
        What he though that he lacks.

Knowledge now appears to the sheltered mind,
And it breaks away and shatters
         Superficial binds.

Unnamed and untamed, rising free to the sky,
Always quietly grasping, the truth of life is to die.
