As the King of the Monsters, Godzilla's duty is keep the world in balance and keep other, more unruly kaiju in check. He was, at first, feared and hated by the human race the world over, because of his size, appearance, and the way he behaved towards them at first. Godzilla used to see humans as a bunch of annoying pests the world would be better off without, especially since they are, in a way, the reason why he is one of the last of his kind. This all changed when a young girl named Akira Matsu came face-to-face with the King of the Monsters, while sitting at the top of a high cliff in a forest near her hometown. Her parents had warned her about how dangerous Godzilla was but when she looked at him and he looked back, she could tell there was more to him than appearance. The cliff edge Akira was standing on suddenly gave way and she almost fell to her death but Godzilla caught her, saving her life. This was the start of a great friendship between Godzilla and Akira. A friendship that would be seen by all when Akira's hometown was attacked by the aquatic dinosaur, Titanosaurus. In the mixed of all the chaos Akira was separated from her parents and was suddenly at the mercy of the aquatic kaiju with no escape. She closed her eyes as Titanosaurus lunged at her and all any onlookers could do was watch in horror. However, arriving just in time to once again save her life, was Godzilla, ready to defend Akira and the citizens of her town. The two monsters engaged in an epic battle until Godzilla managed to drive Titanosaurus back into the sea. Afterwards, the King of the Monsters approached Akira, crouched down, and stuck his finger out towards her. In response, she reached her arm out and touched his finger. This revealed to everyone who was watching that Godzilla was not the monster they thought he was and what started the ever growing peace between humans and kaiju.

Today, Godzilla lives on the Monster Islands with his son, Godzilla Junior, as the literal leader of the Earth Kaiju Alliance and ally of G-Force. He also serves as the mentor of Mirana, teaching her how use her powers and how to fight and defend herself in combat. It is said that his and Mirana's destinies are tied in a battle that will decide the fate of the world and even universe itself.
