Manda was originally the guardian of the people of the lost underwater kingdom of Mu. However, the citizens of the kingdom were wiped out by an earthquake in the year 1968. Manda, feeling he had failed the ones he was supposed to protect, became infuriated and went wild. When he learned that the earthquake that left Mu in ruins was caused by the humans on the surface world, he went on wild rampage in in Japan and later the coast of California. He was eventually stopped by the combined efforts of G-Force and Godzilla, and was driven back under the sea. He was eventually found and recruited by the Space Kaiju Forces. There, Manda was teamed up with Varan and Maguma. As they battled against G-Force and the Earth Kaiju Alliance, Manda and the other two members of his trio began to notice how compassionate their "enemies" were and how they were mistreated by there masters and higher ups. One day, after Mirana went out of her way to save Varan's life, Manda had finally seen the error of his ways and joined the Earth Kaiju Alliance with Varan and Maguma. Today, he still helps protect the Earth with his friends and has never been happier doing so.
