Description
The Wailing are creatures that reside on the other side of life. Hungry and vengeful, with the ability to cross over into the world of the living when someone had a wrongful death and wishes for revenge. This wrongdoing creates a rift that can connect the world of the living and the dead and the Wailing have a special connection to these emotions. They form a pact with the person and act out the revenge for them. The glowing markings are "chains" created by the person's souls they formed a pact with. Ensuring the pact will be done and that the Wailing don't act on their own free will.
To further torment those they take revenge on, they mimic the screams of the person they formed the pact with and use it to drive their murderer insane.

Just a for fun species I've been working on.
They are a closed species but I will not be making an ARPG based on them (unfortunately do not have the time or energy for that). I also think it's more fun to let others explore this idea at their own pace and use it how they see fit. I will be making more and probably expanding the lore in the future, but for now these three are looking for new homes c:
