That'd been the thing about his returning to the Empires. At times, life had almost seemed exactly like it was before, but at the same time...it wasn't. Sometimes, the caracal had to stop himself and remember that the felines he knew from his time as an apprentice were gone, replaced by new faces and scents as a subtle sign life was moving on. Zedara had always been a reminder of that. Of times that once were, but lost -- lost to him, anyway. Maybe that's why he felt the need to take care of the young caracal like he did. She wasn't related to him by blood, but by memories.

Incoming EBC activity check spam! I've been holding onto these all month and def need to get them uploaded before the deadline lmao! But have a Mar and Ze having a smol heart to heart talk about something. I've always had a feeling that Mar ended up attaching himself onto Ze because she lowkey reminded him of his time in Lightning before he was forced away from the Empires but!

This was actually a collab with InTheDappledRain though! Dap sent me the sketch, I lined, she added the base colors, and I finished up with the shading and small details. This ended up being tons of fun though, Dap, we should definitely do more of these more often!
