How she was bitten (probs a canon event):
Her boyfriend didnt come back home than he usually does. A few hours after, she got worried so she went out to search for him while a lot of scenarios were running on her head. As she found him, it had to be the *worst* scenario she ever thought of. The last one, to be exact.
She found him laying bloodily dead on a pile debris near a broken building. Well, of course she was in denial so she slowly walked up to him and hugged him, crying and screaming and shouting for him to wake up which alarmed the neighbors.
The neighbors tried everything to convince her that he was dead after a few runs of CPR, but there was no budge. She wouldn't stop begging him to wake up. She wouldn't stop herself from believing that she wasnt in denial.
The neighbors called the police and the ambulance while doing so. But after a while, they gave up on convincing her and left it to the pros.
She was alone but still had a fit and this continued on for minutes til she noticed his non-existent pulse so she cried in agony. That was when a purple radioactive spider had come out of the debris' gap, crawled up her hoodie and bit her neck. She was shocked of course, so she swatted the assumed insect away. Well, it wasnt an insect. It was an arachnid. It was still alive. And instead of being scared since she had arachnophobia and such, she was angry. She saw the spider having a purple cosmic-like bubble around it, like it was some sort of force field, but it wasnt consistent. She let out her rage on the poor spider til it became shreds.
She calmed down though, but she was still hugging him. The emergency vehicles soon arrived and she had her back faced on them. When she turned around because of the officer, her eyes were devoid of hope, duller than a doll's eye, emotionless as she could be.

(Also, the hoodie on her costume was the same hoodie she was wearing when the incident happened. Just a bit revised and painted 😜
