I did this one last October after I first bought a big package of cardstock, to give it a test drive since I’d not really drawn on it before.Boy, what a test drive. It’s rather like going to the dealer with a Gremlin and coming back with a Corvette. Wow. (Keep in mind, I was using ordinary printer paper before this.)
I had a lot of fun doing this piece… I wish I had spent more time on Ganondorf’s hair, though. Zelda’s, too. You can see toward the bottom of Ganondorf’s neck where I was taking my time, and then you go up and observe the laziness. Zelda’s hair is mostly just a spectacular failure. But it was very fun and I did learn things, yes indeed.
I thought about putting a background, and then decided……nah. Leave it without, leave the focus directly on the people.
I actually like the idea of doing a series of pictures like this—where it has the main people in focus in a sort of…dynamic, bust/portrait-format. I’m going to post below my ideas, and as I do each one, I’ll come back here and link to them, and link to all the others in the subsequent pics.

now this is really cool... i think you should color this... i really like the contrast of light and dark between ganondorf and zelda, and then link... i'm amused by your observation of what you deem to be laziness XD i find nothing wrong with ganondorf's hair, it's just...really detailed in one place, and less so elsewhere XD it looks good in both ways. zelda's hair is interesting... the only thing i don't like about it is the long straight parts hanging down in front of her ear. i'm really impressed with your detail in her and ganondorf's jewelry, and with all of the clothes...oh look, link has jewelry too XD his hair is quite good, probably the...best of the three. your clothing folds are impressive...all your details are impressive... i like the looks on all their faces XD ganondorf's eye is intimidating... the fairy is cute XD i think that link's lips need to be shifted to his right a bit >> but this is quite the impressive pic... i think link espeically looks great. but all three are really good. the detail in ganondorf's collar is really good...and zelda's...i'm repeating myself XD i guess i can only say wow so many times...XD does ganondorf's eyebrow really blend into his hair? zelda looks pretty overall... fairy sparkles~ /random xD

I'm really happy with the job I did on Link's hair, yeah...
Yeah, his eyebrow blended into his hair in this game. xD
