Today is my 3rd anniversary here in dA so I wanted to do something different. Also I have been planning to do this for a while now x)
Let's start !

It was 2011, almost 2012 and I was on 3rd grade at the age of nine. I had had pretty many characters at this point, mostly because we used to play dogs in school with my friends and we always drew the dog who we were : D I had heard something about alter egos in net and I wanted to create a character that would represent me so I could draw "me". And this happened. Small ninja-fairy-wolf with long claws and raccoon tail? Very cool. From the beginning I knew I wanted my fursona to be white n' blue (because blue was my favourite color back then) and I just created some random markings like that shuriken on her leg, wings and bamboo stick.. And earring. Fun fact: my ears are still not pierced. This fursona didn't have name and I actually drew her only once but this was the first thing that started my fursona cycle.

Early 2012, I was still on 3rd grade but turned ten years. I discovered this wolf maker and remembered the little winged wolf I had made some months ago and decided to make it with the maker. Go check it out and you'll see how easily you can make your own Civ! No, not really.. Well, it turned out pretty much different looking, but the colours were the same. Of course she didn't have wings because I still don't know how to draw them properly. My fursona was now some kind of wolf and dog mix. Then I named her. And guess what, I named her after the game, Civilization, my brother was playing. Pretty weird right, but the name is still perfect for my fursona :'D Notice that Civ didn't have blue stripe in her left back leg as the other legs did and that leg has remained as the "empty leg" ever since !

Still on 3rd grade. I tried new fursona after few months, but this one didn't really last that long. Her name was Lasikuutio, which means glass cube. The name came from the necklace she was wearing. She was actually pretty much like a second fursona or something. I also tried another fursona, a brown and white Lapphund, who had lime-green moon on her cheek and collar. I didn't use her at all and so I took the "old" Civ back.

Late summer 2014 age of 12. Time passed, I joined deviantART in July 22nd 2013 (at the age of 11, I was so bad kid haha pls forgive me :'D)
I got bored with Civ's design and tried few times to create completely new fursona in the few years, but I realised that I just liked Civ too much. I just needed to do some changes. I hated the chain in her neck and white-black-blue felt too "cold". So I changed the black to brown and after a while the blue in her ears transformed into light brown. I moved her scars around and she became Finnish Lapphund because our dog was one c: Her eyes were now yellowish-green, because it is my favourite colour. I actually did consider changing the blue to green, but it didn't look so good and I kept the light blue.

BUT, I still weren't happy with Civ's design. Light blue stripes were just too light and it kinda hurt my eyes with the pure white. I changed the blue towards turquoise and during the year I added some stripes, changed the tune of that horrible yellowish-brown, moved scars to the another front leg and got rid of the metal bracelet-chain-thing because it reminded me of the boring "first" Civ. Still her new design didn't please me. It felt like the design lacked something so I added eyedots, light brown to her back paw and few more stripes. I also changed the white to more natural color and she has now dark brown nose and pads. And finally, in 2016 and 14 years old I can say I'm happy with her design! Now Civ feels right, she feels more like me than ever and I'm very happy about it!
Of course I know Civ's design is going to change again in some years but at the moment this is the right Civ for me c:
