Pygmy nuthatches are small, social birds that live in ponderosa pine trees which grow in mountainous terrain across the United States and some parts of Canada. They forage these tall pines in search of food such as insects or seeds that can be found in needle clusters, pinecones or the trees' bark, which reportedly has a nice, vanilla-like smell. This specific gryphon was looking for a quiet place to rest when it was interrupted by Derec, who was trying to get its attention. Thank you for reading this little comic, I hope it was enjoyable!
