11/15/15 EDIT: Thea has left the group to go seek out Tyler! She enjoyed her time with the tribes, but decided eventually that she wasn't happy being there without her little sister. I may bring her back eventually, but for now it's looking unlikely. I have too many characters, hhhahaha...

She's on the AT app for now because... that was the first one I grabbed. And the ST one isn't out yet. Her design is being made by SimplyNeon, so I'll update her and submit her finished version once I get my hands on that and the new ref~

Personality||

Thea posesses a great deal of self-confidence, something that shows fairly obviously in her personality. She has few qualms about herself as a character, and doesn't often second-guess her decisions. She has very few ties to her past and the mistakes she has made, but rather views them as learning experiances from which to better herself. Because of her affection for beauty in all forms, and her self-love, she can often come off as vain; which, in fairness, she is. She feels she is beautiful, and she is not shy about it.

Second to her love for herself, Thea also has a soft spot for cats who are weak or in need of protection/kindness. Cats with low self-esteem, relationship issues, or any other kind of problem are cats she flocks to, attempting to help them regardless of whether they want or need it. A simple dismissal is not enough to get her to back off, as she will determinedly continue to offer her assistence until she has been told firmly and repeatedly that it is not required. On the plus side, once she figures it out, she is generally willing to let the other cat deal with their own problems, even if she has trouble carrying through with the actual act of stepping back.

Most of all, Thea is a tenacious and confident cat who means well, occasionally to the point of putting the needs of others before her own health. She bonds quickly with other cats, and feels best when surrounded by friends.

History||

[Kithood]
Born as Khloe to a single mother, she grew up surrounded by other cats. She was the smallest and last to be born in her litter, with four rowdy older brothers. Once, when she was very young, she asked where their father was, but her mother merely replied that he wasn't the parental sort. Given that many other queens in their small colony raised their kits alone, without help from the sire, this never struck her as anything very unusual, and she never felt she was missing out.

As well as bring the smallest and the youngest, Thea was never very fond of her brothers' rough playing. She showed herself from a young age to be a fastidious groomer, and a lover of physical beauty in all forms. She was often teased by her brothers for this, and as she aged, began putting up a more aggressive personality to compensate. This persisted through the end of her kithood, and became an ingrained trait for her; acting much more confident than she really was to protect herself from the derision of her brothers.

[Adolescence]
Into adolescence, Kloe began noticing that her prioritization of her own beauty made her attractive to toms her age. Having spent most of her life being bullied by her littermates, she quickly decided that she liked this change, and began using it to fuel her bruised ego. She became more outgoing, flirted, and dated several toms. She never really felt real attraction to them, but each time they broke it off, calling her selfish and vain. At first this only bothered her a little, since there were always other toms willing to take their place. She brushed them off, pretending as though she didn't care at all, convincing herself in the process that she really didn't.

As things progressed and she grew older though, she began to grow tired of things. Now it felt as though no one really saw her for herself, only as a beautiful but self-centered flirt. But at this point she felt it was too late to do anything, and instead began throwing herself more fully into the role, trying to take on some of her false confidence in a sort of "fake it 'till you make it" effort. On the surface, she appeared more shallow than ever, while on the inside she began to hate herself and the character she had trapped herself into playing.

[Young Adulthood]
Khloe's life went on like this for several seasons, and as time went on, she found cats becoming somewhat less enamored with her. Finally, halfway through her second year, she suffered a bad breakup with a cat she had genuinely come to like, and decided that she was done with it all. Without saying goodbye to anyone, she left the small colony of cats she had grown up with and set out in no particular direction with no real goal in mind save for the idea of getting away from herself.

At first, she contemplated letting herself succumb to the wills of nature. But after several weeks of traveling aimlessly through green woods, she found that she was growing to enjoy her life, perhaps for the first time ever. Here, she felt as though she could really be herself, without judgement. She could spend hours grooming, napping in the sun, or just sitting by a steam and dabbing her paws in the sparkling water. She could fill her lush coat with flowers, and not worry about looking silly. She could do just about anything so wanted.

Eventually though, she found herself growing lonely. She wanted something she had never really had before; a friend. Someone she could confide her worries in, and someone who she could just talk with and be around. She had never been a naturally solitary cat, and though she had enjoyed clearing her mind alone, now that she was feeling better, she wished for company.

And someone, it seemed, had been listening to her thoughts. Only two moons after leaving the place where she had been born, Kloe stumbled upon a weak, starving kit. Though she looked, she could find no trace of the stranger's family, and it appeared by her state that she had been alone for quite some time. Feeling very sorry for the kit, Khloe took her in, grooming the twigs and leaves and mud from her fur and bringing her soft meat and water-soaked moss to nourish her until she could eat properly. When she was well enough to speak, the kit introduced herself as Shrew, and eventually admitted that she had run away from home in an attempt to find a more interesting life. As Shrew grew stronger, Khloe began teaching her how to hunt and how to defend herself from predators, as well as the most basic herbs, all things she had been taught when she was growing up.

As the weeks passed, the two became closer, and Khloe found herself beginning to love the fiery little she-cat. Through Shrew's genuine admiration, she began to see herself in a new light, as a cat who really was beautiful, as well as kind and caring. It was a very new experience for her, and at first she struggled with it. In time though, she began to realize that in order to be truly happy, she would have to learn to love herself. And once she realized this, things began to really fall into place for her. She could now see the beauty in all things, not just physical aspects. She could see the good sides of herself, and of Shrew as well. She could see the beauty of the world and all it's living creatures, and she could enjoy it just as it existed, without having to 'claim' it. And though she dearly loved Shrew and the time spent with her, as the weeks grew into moons, she found herself growing lonely again.

What she wanted now was more than just a friend. She wanted something like she had grown up with, many cats working together in harmony, cats that she could get to know and grow close to. She began seeking out the loners that both she and Shrew had occasionally come across, asking if they knew of something like that; not her old home, but a new one. Finally she heard from a loner queen of a whole collection of cats, grouped into co-existing colonies, somewhere to the south. When she finally told Shrew about her intentions, the little she-cat was hurt and resentful, but finally came to terms with it and wished her adoptive elder sister well on her journey, promising to come and join her after she had some more adventures on her own.

For nearly two weeks Kloe traveled to the south, adjusting her course on the advice of strangers, of whom those with knowledge of the 'tribes' became more common. When at last she made it over the mountains to the tribe's land, she was blessed with the tattoo of the Shadow spirit and a new name, and took hold of her second chance. A life among the tribes, as no one but herself.
