Description
Ink drawing (with bamboo reed pen as well as a brush) of the stuffed barn owl at a natural history museum. I liked dark forms of the tree branches around it, all dead and fake and depressing like that.This'll hopefully act as a study for a painting later on~. I did a color study of the owl, too, just in case
.Also, I just learned they're making the guardian of gahoole books into a movie?? The trailer seems awesome and appropriate to share on this painting/drawing of a barn owl
[link] ~ i remember liking the books a lot as a kid, and the animation quality is impressive! Even if the idea of warring owls is a bit of a silly image XD...about 1 hr on 18" x 24" paper, that did not like the water one bit

I'm rereading the books as we speak. XD Sooooo pumped for the movie. The trailer is sheer epicness.
The face is very lifelike, and contrasts a lot with the not-so-detailed body. Good job; looks great. <3
