Description Judges note: So this obviously is a very different quality than my other art and that would be because instead of my usual 10" Wacom tablet, laptop, Paint Tool Sai, and Photoshop combo this piece was entirely done on my phone with a neat little app called Autodesk SketchBook cause I don't have those other things right now. However neat it doesn't have clipping layers or any of my brushes so the result looks very different than it normally would because I just plain do not have the same tools available. This is also only my second time using the program with the first being new years  and my first time trying to shade and do a background with it but honestly it didn't turn out as wildly different as I imagined.

Anyways the poll spoke so here is my CSI5* international grand prix rider doing a 30cm hunter course because Mira is just a baby who needs a proper start. i went with hunter cause its almost as a default much lower than show jumping and for a training show (for baby horses in this case) i figured they wouldn't bother with the flower boxes and hedges because please do not spook my child (and also mira is gonna double major in hunters)

True to their word Vechnyy had managed to take the rest of the 2018 showing season off, giving both horses and riders plenty of time to rest and recover after their success earlier in the year. The trainers fall and winter had been spent largely conditioning the existing roster and bringing the new youngsters under saddle for the first time, including several new but extremely promising young horses. The existing show string had been shaken up slightly with the arrival of Legerdemain deMoole, the ultimate patriarch of their herd, and the early competition push for several younger horses but by the spring of 2019 plans had solidified and been put in motion.

One of the young horses coming into training was Kashmira deMoola, the much anticipated foal of LS London Bridge and their own Coda deMoola. The grey had been a dream to start, like her parents she kind and easygoing, almost a tribute to modern warmblood breeding and a stark contrast from the spitfire personality of the other deMoole/a's. As Vechnyy had bred and hoped for Mira possessed a natural aptitude for jumping and progressed quickly in her training, her sire's dressage abilities manifesting in a natural balance and an early mastery of lead changes that resulted in the young mare making easy work of the first beginner courses.

As a freshly turned 5 year old Keke made the call that Mira was ready for her first venture off the property and arranged for them to take part in a familiar schooling show at Sunrise Valley Internationals Morganson Farm location. The man had been there before for Savina's showing debut and was excited to be back to start her niece, albeit in a typically low Hunter over Fences class, as a simple public outing to get her used to the showing scene.

It was almost comical to watch, the big bad Puissance rider carefully trotting around a course full of jumps small enough to step over without breaking your stride. Always the champ the young horse took her job very seriously, no one had told her that these jumps were ridiculously small so she navigated the course with all the concentration she had, making easy work of those monstrous 30cm planks.

Ordinarily the job of taking young horses through these tiny little shows was left to Milo simply for the moderately young rider to practice but now, for the first time since Home of deMoole himself, Keke had stepped in early to make sure Mira was competed exactly the way he wanted. Of course with this spectacle, almost every available person had come to the show to "cheer him on" as he made his novice debut, Milo especially as they sat ringside, yelling cues to the trainer.

Finally exiting the ring after the worlds most exciting canter stretch Keke halted the mare in front of the group and dismounted, pointing a finger towards them accusingly. "Don't fucking laugh, you're all doing the exact same course when we get home."
