- Its wings are made of pure ice crystals, forever numb from the cold climate and making it possible for Winteraze to fly despite a hailstorm. It is believed that it has consumed a special fruit that changed its body to adapt to the cold.

-It is a close relative to Frugivox and Crafterops, however, rarely known to interact with each other. This is because the stark differences in habitats prohibit one specie to co-exist with the other.

Evolution:
Nivulp ---> Winteraze (Level up after eating a Yache Berry during a battle)

Origin:
"Winteraze" is a combination of words "Winter", the coldest season of the year in polar and temperate zones; and "Raze", meaning 'to scrape, cut, or shave off.'

"Winteraze" is inspired by the White-winged Flying Fox , a species of megabat endemic to the Philippines, particularly at the northern parts of the country. Despite the Philippines being a tropical country, there is no winter season. However, at the northern portions of Luzon, the north island of the country, there are instances wherein a hailstorm looks like snow forming on mountain ranges. Its evolution has taken inspiration from a flying fox diet as largely frugivorous. A Yache Berry, if held by a Pokemon, will lessen super effective Ice-type attack.
