Description I'm so sorry for posting this up so late. Between a string of doctor visits, a new job, and the start of a new semester, I've been really busy.

This is my end of the collab with . I had a lot of fun coloring this lineart (I just love the quirky expressions and cute outfits). I hope you like the results enough to excuse the lateness.

I think summed up Kid's outlook on umbrellas best:
Yea, umbrellas fail at keeping one perfectly and evenly dry.
He is soggy trash that can't even use an umbrella properly. Just throw him into the ocean!

Aw, I'm grinning so big, talk about a midday pick up!!

I was hoping you'd do your cell shading style. I love the different tones of skin and the shading that miraculously makes my lineart all make sense.
I'm in love with the little details excentuating Kid's cute little neck and Patty's cute litte midriff and the shadow cast on Liz's face. Of course it's all great!

Don't worry about the time. I'm stunned that you had so much going on and still did such a beautiful job. I was just a little worried that something serious was going on

My best friend was hilarious when she told me what she thought of the expressions.
She says Patty is 'Teehee, aww Kid-kun is all wet.' and Liz is 'Hurr, he's all wet' *rape face*

Oh yay, I'm so thrilled you like it! I've been enjoying cell-shading lately, so I'm glad that it worked out best with this piece (though I should probably get to practicing soft-shading again).

Don't worry, nothing too serious happened to cause the delay, a LOT simply happened. Ironically, I signed up for a lighter load this semester since my last semester was hectic, but it seems that it is His for me to be perpetually busy.

Your friend's interpretation is hilarious. So, Liz sees opportunity. . .

I like the colors you used for this. If Kid dislikes asymmetry so much, doesn't his hair drive him up the wall? I haven't actually read Soul Eater, so I don't know if this is ever brought up in canon.

Haha, it's actually addressed in his first chapter/episode immediately. I wondered about Kid's symmetry-obsession and his hair too when I first saw fanart of Kid (and it was one of the reasons why I read the manga-- to get an answer). Kid absolutely hates his hair, but since he's a Shinigami, hair-dye (or any kind of toxin) has no effect on him. He has ridiculously low self-esteem, saying things like "I'm absolute trash! Just leave me on the curb in the morning" [link] But later on in the story, it is revealed that the Sanzu lines are important.

Haha, he's really adorable himself. If you watch Soul Eater, you'll see that Death the Kid is the cutest thing since puppies.
