I can quite feel a melancholy behind those words, and also in your author's comment. And I think you are right with all those sentences, because people really, REALLY should mind all this stupidity instead of just getting along with it. It only exists because nobody cares doing something against - or at least those who care are an ignored minority.
But what to expected from idiots if you tell them they are idiots to the face? Therefore, I understand what you mean with being hypocritical...
