Another sketch from my ipad. Sorry its so small.So basically, this is an alternate Mexican-American War where by some ASB the USA has soured its relations with Great Britain so bad that GB and Mexico join forces to defeat it. Mexico retakes the Republic of Texas before it is annexed by the US and fights to a standstill with the USA with the aid of GB which sends troops to the Maritimes and the Oregon Country. In the end the US looses its claims to the Oregon and Texas and Mexico annexes the lower half of Oregon.
Multiple rebellions break out in the Willamette River Valley, San Francisco Bay, the Great Salt Lake, and areas of the former Rep. of Texas as Mexican troops deport American settlers out of conquered lands.

An app called Sketchbook Express. It has Photoshop-like layers that work about the same way as actual photoshop, and you can bring in pictures from your photo library or the internet to use as layers, and it has a lot of other features that are really similar to Photoshop, but the quality isnt as good.

I like this. I usually see more of the US conquering Mexico, it seems a little cliche at this point. Mexico has always been a very bold nation, it did call itself an Empire in its declaration of independence, after all. Fortune favors the bold.

I was personally inspired by your Los Estados Unidos de Mexico map you did a long time ago. I didnt think having the USA recieve a major defeat from Mexico was very realistic, so I changed it up a lil bit

I don't want to sound offensive, but I really think that we should have either conquered all of Mexico or taken none of it, because we really kind of fucked them over in the long run. We took the most prosperous half of their nation and just left them to pick up the pieces. At least what we took got organized, Mexico has always been rather unstable since then. Mexico could have been a much greater nation, theoretically.

We should have kept it, there wasnt really any hope for them after the war as is and the southern states would never have taken nothing. Im sure that if we had just annexed Mexico then, it would be a much better place now
