There's several different styles going on here, and each project their own mood as to how the picture can be interpreted, and I think this is nice because it leaves a great deal of the picture up to the viewer's imagination. Her pitted, darkened eyes make her seem so sickly, scared, or haunted by something powerful, and her hair is drawn in a way that seems childish on purpose, as you clearly have great skill in rendering realistic eyes. It would seem that the simplistic hair represents all sorts of things, perhaps innocence or childhood; I'm not exactly sure. The lack of color in this picture gives the impression of cold, stark depression or lack of or drained life, or lost hope. Her eyes still have a glimmer of hope however, which gives the impression that not all is lost and that though she is lost now, perhaps she will someday be found.
