You can buy these empty papers with filters on and make your own cigarettes with a little machine. Far too lazy to do it but good photographic subject!

At first glance I thought it might of been an old wasp nest that was sun bleached. Knowing they are cigarettes you cleaned out as a ritual of quitting makes it even more interesting and statement rich.

Have not really 100% given up, well almost...call me an occasional smoker (or a joker!)
If I had really just given up there is NO WAY I would have the patience to hollow out cigarettes like that! 
Anyway you can buy these empty papers with filters on and make your own cigarettes with a little machine. But we are far too lazy to do it, so they have been sitting in a box labelled 'smoking paraphernalia' for some years now

Well, you might lighten up the dark spots, just to make it even, and/or blur it a bit, make it monochrome, maybe play around with the saturation/tone... Course I'd do all sorts of stuff to it and prolly make it no good for a bg xD But as is it could make a good background.
