A pic I did at the beggining of the year 2002.. I'm affraid it has too many details and colours so it's hard to concemtrate on the whole piecePainted with watercolours and thin markers.. Witha litle help of correction pen and metallic gel-pens

it took me a second to find the mermaid girl, but it seems as though it's better that way. you have too look for it, like one of those trick pictures. I think it's gorgeous.

I saw the thumbnail in the DTfs and thought. "What is that crap? Looks like kid doodles!?" Seems whatever makes DTF has a very good reason of making it there. Shows how much I know

Absolutely stunning! The colors are just so exciting and soothing at the same time! And metallic gel-pens...I'll have to try that some time. It would be cool to see what it looks like in real life up against watercolors.
Out of curiosity, I have a question I'd like to ask, and I hope you don't mind answering. You see, I'm an artist as well (well, duh, you say), and lately, I've gotten into Sims, and I'm looking to make some paintings for the game for people to download and for me to use as well, and this picture is just so lovely, I hope you wouldn't mind if I made a painting with it. I love mermaids, despite my phobia of marine life. The overwhelming use of color adds to the glamor of it.
However, don't be chinsy with the fins/tail. Merfolk are fantasy creatures, so be as creative as you like. Make 15-foot tails. Make her a vicious bee-atch. Show her ripping apart a dolphin wif her fangs.
I hope this doesn't sound negative, but it's good to receive applause as well as a critique every now and again.
