Description A4 (standard letter size) watercolour/gouache on Arches 400gsm paper med.

I think this reflects my happy mood. Spring is here and my life has taken a turn for the better. I will elaborate in my journal.
I spent a lot of hours completing this. It may look like child's play, but it's not something I could paint in an hour. I hope you can tell, I had fun with this.
I welcome any comments and feedback.

Thank you! I wasn't quite happy with it at this stage, and have since worked on it more. I thought it still needed something. Not sure if I will ever be happy with this, but I appreciate the kind comment.

I think all of your work is great. I can't work in that format I tend to be very detailed but I know what you mean about sometimes pieces just not being quite right. I think that is why I am so attracted to that type of work because it is so different from my own. I just love the look of it.

I was just playing and experimenting with an idea. I first did the drawing with pink watercolour pencil, then added watercolour and transparent gouage.

no your work doesn't look like childs play. i could just imagine how lon it would take. Maybe not too long for you but for me.. haha dont go there. I used to think it was weird for these colourful cats but now i see it purely as creative art full of geometric shapes and patterns. Wonderful!

I used to live in Canada for 25 years. I loved Fall. I will likely do a Autumn inspired cat painting, as well as Winter/Spring/Summer. Thanks for letting me knowy you like my cats!

Your painting shows very well that every cat has its own character I know what it takes to paint a picture. Unfortunately many people do not appreciate it.

I suppose people soon find out that watercolour is not that easy, when they try it themselves.
