This is a spectacular shot! The figure standing at the top really serves to show how huge the canyon is in comparison. The Grand Canyon has always been on my list of places to visit before I die, and this only serves to reinforce the reason why

You have really managed too show how big everything is. By having someone in the picture we can really understand the scale of the canyon, and the composition in general is really nicely done. I also like the colours, because they give the picture a kind of calm atmosphere something that again makes everything look a bit bigger

I like the lack of color. Well its not absent, but it hints in just the right ways. Fabulous job with the scale.

Including the human figure is a perfect way of capturing the massive scale of the canyon. I like the stack of rock in the centre - an interesting focal point.

You have certainly captured some notion of the epic scale.
Shooting against the light with that dark mass of foreground rock, and the tiny figurestanding at its peak , was a brilliant idea. The focus is sharp enough to capture all the weathered detail of the cliff.
The contrast between the shady detail and bight hazy background completes a perfact picture.

Fantastic shot! I love the contrast between the light fog and the dark, jagged cliff. The hiker in the shot is a great little detail that really adds to the epic scale of the Grand Canyon.

Also, the mist/fog is really nice, how it makes the mountains fade away, allowing you to easily spot the hiker.
I'm going on a trip this summer to go up a really tall mountain. I doubt I'll se any hikers, but I hope to get great shots like this one n .n
