Description
This illustration is meant to be printed on fabric and them made into a cushion doll. My inspiration was the traditionnal voodoo doll with its heart expose and the conventionnal doll. It this case the doll who cries ( next piece will be the doll who calls Mommy)I wanted to make something pretty but funny... and a bit childish. What do you think

So to answer your question, recourse...
as for inspiration: it comes from anywhere, stories I read, things I see, pretty much anything. I carry a sketchbook with me everywhere I go and if an idea comes up, I sketch it really fast. Then when I have time to work on my illustration, I go back to my sketchbook and choose what seem interesting.
as for image sources, I have been collecting image for some time now. but I find images on the web ( flickr groups and deviant arts... check my blog to see others) and from books ( dover publications has amazing books)
