Description ...East of the Sun & West of the Moon.

"Are you not afraid?" asked the North Wind.
"I have no fear," said she; and it was true.
They were not very far from land, and there was just enough strength
left in the North Wind to allow him to throw her onto the shore,
immediately under the castle which lay east of the sun and west of the moon.

Picture inspired by one of my favorite fairytales.

Wow...

..I love the Wind's glass-mossaic style (and blue, of course)

..and whole that is unbelievably lifeful.. yes, just like right from the middle of a fairy tale...

Wow, that's a surreal piece of work. I love the wing, and its mosaic-style texture. The colours of the sky are awesome too - that green is so un-sky-like, yet still seems to perfectly suit the image. The little elements of fantasy that you throw in as well work beautifully - particularly the 'head' of the wind, floating over that pea-green sea. Can I ask why you chose the pink curls for the landscape? No ciriticism, but it seems a little unusal...

Thank you very much! I made the clouds around the castle pink because I thought it gave it a sense of a magic place-not really on land quite...kind of like in a dream? So hard to explain myself sometimes

I did it in watercolors, was a big experiment in colors for me really. Thanks again!

The swirls of color in this image are very nice. The broke blue swirls offer a cool mosaic effect. Good job overall. My only concern, and it is minor, is that the castle is hardly as majestic in its beauty as the rest of the image. Thanks for sharing in the forum.
