Generated for the unofficial design contest on the Mechwarrior Online forums. I probably never would have tried to design one otherwise but this was good practice in general. The weapons and some of the design elements are brought over from the MWO mechs and the Cataphract specifically.Related content

I can't help but notice this looks more like Shimmering-Sword's original Marauder design than what he submitted to the contest.

You got my only vote. This is hands down the best look and feel-- hitting the Marauder mark. MarCobra's while cool, and masterfully rendered doesn't feel like a Marauder to me. Congrats!!

Always pick the IIC and I mean, it would have to look even better right? Though I didn't think the FanPro one was as bad as some of their others.

Hellu! Just dropping by to let you know I voted for this one in the contest. Out of all submissions I felt this particular one stayed true to the original Marauder while at the same time being of a new design. There's just something about the pose and weight distribution that just looks right!

Thank you. There are some pretty good ones up there but I did try to keep some of the shape while bringing in some of what I felt worked in the newer versions. Tricky design to work with
