So...I have a confession to make. I watch Xiaolin Showdown… but mostly just for Jack. I love his character design, so I figured I'd take a try at drawing him in my style. Some of the details may be way off because it’s near impossible to find reference of this guy! It’s my own version of him in my own style, so I guess I can pretend I did it on purpose. ^_^;Some interesting tidbits I found out while attempting to find reference:
-Two of the head writers of Xiaolin Showdown were also two of the head writers of the Aladdin television series, one of my childhood obsessions.
-The guy that voices Jack is the same guy who voiced Montana Max from Tiny Toon Adventures AND was Budnick from Salute Your Shorts! (small world, huh?)

From what I hear he is a wacky character so you really got that part down well...I like his pose a lot, he looks real silly here and that fits him well. I like how well you colored this, even being able to get some detail in despite the dark colors, nice job on that...I love the shading you did here, very well done and the background doesn't detract too much either...

The pose was a real pain- forshortening always is. I wanted something more active though, as opposed to my usual static poses... :b Shading on black is always a little tricky. As for the background, I just got lazy, but I'm glad you like it!

Well at least there IS a background as opposed to just white...and yes shading on black is a pain...never works for me...
