At such times he would lock himself into his study, drowning himself under piles of paperwork, and refuse to emerge for hours at a time. It was indescribably boring. When this happened, Mai was forced to take drastic measures.
Hence why, at this moment, she was a dark silhouette picking the lock of the window to his second-story office. Silently, she opened the window just wide enough to slip through and snuck up behind where Zuko sat at his desk, nose in his papers.
