And now for something REALLY different, again.

For all the pastel pencil drawings I've posted lately,there have been class studies.

Originally this class was to have two sessions on each pose. I had time to finesse things, even rework areas.

Most of the time when a model sits down, they're prim and proper, hands folded on their lap. Not this one! I've worked with her before in life drawing classes and suspected an unusual pose. She came in and draped herself over the chair back and held the pose the entire time. Impressive. She knows how to move even when she can't move.

Once near the end of the pose the teacher was standing behind me, talking to the model and the model looked right at me. The entire pose changed. Wish I could have re-worked that into the drawing.

This isn't on the typical 8 1/2 x 11 paper, it's a full sized 18 x 26.
