Damn, I worked so hard on this!
I'm actually really surprised it took me this long to draw Tikal, I've loved her since I first saw her in 2P mode in SA2B
Anyway, again for the Sonic 100. She's saying that chant, "The severs are the seven chaos..." etc. I don't think it's techinically a proverb but I could put in a good arguement of it being one and it's ancient so there.
I'm actually really pleased with this, so I hope you enjoy!

I used to have that proverb totally memorized when I was younger. Tikal was(and still is) my favorite from that game.
Along with Chaos and Sonic, of course.

I have to say that the flames and the night sky are the best parts. Tikal and the emerald look a bit unrealistic compared to the rest of the picture. However, it is so much better than anything I could have done.

Well, that one looked more like a cut rock. I think you should find a good pic of the Master Emerald and trace it in photoshop, lines and all.

I love the night sky in the BG, it really gives the picture a good atmosphere
