Ok, last image for the night, will give this and Tank Girl a proper comment later (cut me some slack, like you really care about my absessive rambling anyways ) Again done for my Independent study.
I found it kinda hard to categorize this work, it is a mixed media piece using ink, water color, oil pastels, and photoshop. The final image is digital, the other medias are each a different layer composited together and modified/tweaked. Actually, as I type this, I realized I hate the terms traditional and digital. I see digital as just another medium, as such, classifing EVERYTHING non digital as "traditional" is not only annoying but suggests digital art is not another medium or anything close to other kinds of college or painting. Its time to abolish the word traditional!
The other note I would like to make is one of my odd luck... I am a big Resident Evil fan... yet I did not realize until after I finished the line work for the guy the exterior heart is really similar to the RE Tyrant design (it was probably more of a subconscience thing but Talos's blood system is really important to his myth, the heart was added to emphasize his single vein.) ...after the entire image was done I almost fainted because I was so pissed off at my dumb luck... the newest Resident Evil Tyrant is called Talos -.- wtf mate? I love you Capcom but why must you torture me so? I have been dead to the world at collage... I totally missed the fact Umbrella Chronicles was even released... I am also not a very avid gamer (spare a few titles... long live Devil May Cry) and RE!)... Either the gods have a sense of humor or I have a clone or two working at Capcom O.o
