Description Time is long, stretching forever on;
       Yet as men, his true length we can never see.
For compared to Time, Man is forever young.
       He cannot see the forest, but only its trees.

And although Time will never meet his end,
       Man hurries on because his approaches fast;
He repeats a mantra, "carpe diem,"
       Because any day may be his last.

For Man to be happy, he must learn to forget;
       To take each day, each punch, only one at a time.
He admonishes himself in this, and yet
       He lets himself be taken, broken, crying.

In the end, Man has no significance.
       He will always die, leaving Time behind to dance.
